Defense Reform Consensus:
The Left and the Right Agree It's Past Time to Act
Thursday, May 14, 2015 | 8:30 AM - 10:00 AM, EDT | Russell 325 | RSVP
Modernizing and streamlining reforms are required regardless of the size of the defense budget. The question should not be "why?" but "how?"
Please join a bipartisan group of DC's leading national security scholars and members of Congress as they discuss necessary and overdue structural defense reforms, including military compensation, infrastructure reduction, and the size and makeup of the Pentagon's civilian workforce. This diverse and bipartisan group agrees on these common-sense fixes to long-term challenges at the Defense Department; problems that if unresolved will threaten our national security.
