6:00pm to 7:00pm ET

The Center for a New American Security’s (CNAS) Middle East Security Program hosted a hybrid roundtable to examine opportunities for greater U.S.-Japan policy cooperation in the Middle East. The roundtable “Exploring the Present and Future of U.S.-Japan Cooperation in the Middle East,” brought together policy and national security thought-leaders from the United States, Japan, and Middle East to identify new ways Washington and Tokyo can collaborate in the Middle East region. The dialogue yielded many potential opportunities to expand U.S.-Japanese collaboration, including through humanitarian missions, peace-building and mediation, increased anti-piracy and maritime security activity, cultural diplomacy, cybersecurity, and coordinated investments in energy infrastructure and renewable energy.
