On Tuesday, November 26, the Center for a New American Security (CNAS), the New America Foundation and the American Enterprise Institute hosted an in-depth discussion on the foreign policy challenges faced by the Obama administration in its second term. With a politically turbulent Middle East, a financially teetering EU, and an increasingly technologically competitive Asia-Pacific region, Obama and his administration will face critical foreign policy decisions in the second half of his final term.
This event continued a unique collaboration among these institutions in the presidential campaign season, "Election 2012: The National Security Agenda." Past conversations covered the U.S. role in the world, policy in East Asia, and the national security budget.
