About the Event
On Wednesday, April 5, The Center for a New American Security released a capstone report: "From College to Cabinet: Women in National Security." The paper traces the representation and progression of women's careers in national security, comparing experiences across the military, civilian employees at the Department of Defense, the State Department, the Intelligence Community, and the National Security Council. The research identifies where challenges and opportunities exist for recruitment and retention, and looks to successful initiatives in both the public and private sectors for solutions and recommendations.
