Join our Make Room study session, Navigating Specialist vs Generalist Career Tracks on Tuesday, July 30 from 4:30-5:30 PM ET. The session will feature the following speakers:
- Richard Fontaine, Chief Executive Officer at the Center for a New American Security
- Hannah Suh, Senior Advisor at the Office of the Undersecretary for Civilian Security, Democracy, and Human Rights at the U.S. Department of State
The event will be moderated by Hannah Dennis, Research Associate for the Defense Program at the Center for a New American Security.
The conversation will focus on defining specialist versus generalist national security policy careers, as well as how to distinguish between thematic and regional expertise. Our speakers will help address the importance of transferable skills no matter what career track you choose.
