About the Event
Please join the CNAS Middle East Security Team for the roll out event for its latest report, Remodeling Partner Capacity: Maximizing Effectiveness of U.S. Counterterrorism Security Assistance. Since the September 11, 2001 attacks the U.S. government has utilized security assistance as a central tool in its global counterterrorism strategy. The report caps a yearlong CNAS project examining the effectiveness of this approach. It was informed by extensive research on the subject in Kenya and Jordan, two of the most important recipients of counterterrorism assistance from the United States. We will engage in an in-depth discussion that will brief the report’s key findings and how they can be applied in the design and implementation of counterterrorism security assistance programs.
