Roundtable Discussion with Lieutenant General Mark P. Hertling

On October 11, the Center for a New American Security hosted a roundtable discussion with Lieutenant General Mark P. Hertling, Commander of U.S. Army Europe and Seventh Army.  LTG Hertling discussed the U.S.’s ongoing strategic interests in Europe and the resources required to successfully secure those interests. Specifically, he emphasized the importance of U.S. efforts to train and coordinate with European militaries as coalition partners around the globe as well as the collaborative relationships being formed around issues such as cyber defense.
