The United States faces considerable national security challenges posed by China’s ambitions for access to sensitive sectors such as cloud computing, 5G mobile networks, undersea cables, and military software. To discuss U.S. strategy for addressing these threats, CNAS hosted Keith Krach, former Under Secretary of State for Economic Growth, Energy, and the Environment, as well as former DocuSign CEO and a veteran Silicon Valley executive, alongside moderator Heather Nauert, CNAS Board of Advisors member and former State Department Spokesperson.
Mr. Krach and Ms. Nauert were introduced by Richard Fontaine, CNAS CEO, and joined by Martijn Rasser, Senior Fellow in the CNAS Technology and National Security Program, for a panel discussion on May 6, 2021.
