On Thursday, April 6, CNAS Middle East Security Program Senior Fellow and Director Jonathan Lord hosted a virtual discussion to reflect on the scenario exercise CNAS hosted in October 2022 to identify key factors that would contribute to the acceleration or deceleration of Iran’s nuclear program, as well as the resulting, recently published CNAS report Disarming the Bomb: Distilling the Drivers and Disincentives for Iran’s Nuclear Program. He was joined by Henry Rome, Senior Fellow at The Washington Institute for Near East Policy, Sina Azodi, Visiting Scholar at George Washington University, and Dr. Dania Thafer, Executive Director of the Gulf International Forum.
