The United States, South Korea, and Japan are poised to expand their cooperation across a range of issues and within other minilateral and multilateral settings. A new report from CNAS, Forging a New Era of U.S.-Japan-South Korea Trilateral Cooperation, distills the opportunities and challenges facing the trilateral partnership. On Thursday, March 28, CNAS hosted a virtual event that discussed the report findings and the future of trilateral relations post-Camp David Summit. Speakers included Dr. Duyeon Kim, Adjunct Senior Fellow for the Indo-Pacific Security Program, Sheila Smith, John E. Merow Senior Fellow for Asia-Pacific Studies at the Council on Foreign Relations, Hannah Kelley, Research Associate for the Technology and National Security Program, and Evan Wright, Research Assistant for the Indo-Pacific Security Program. The event was moderated by Lisa Curtis, Senior Fellow and Director of the Indo-Pacific Security Program.
