Virtual Report Launch: Charting a Transatlantic Course to Address China

On November 16, 2020 from 9:30am ET to 10:45am ET, please join the Center for New American Security (CNAS) and German Marshall Fund of the United States (GMF) for a virtual conversation about the future of transatlantic cooperation in response to the continued rise of China.
In a recent report from CNAS and GMF, “Charting a Transatlantic Course to Address China,” authors Julie Smith, Dr. Andrea Kendall-Taylor, Carisa Nietsche, and Ellison Laskowski outline a roadmap for how the United States and Europe can deepen coordination and cooperation to navigate the challenges posed by China’s growing influence. The report identifies nearly 60 specific policy recommendations for greater cooperation between the United States and Europe across four vectors of competition, including technology, investment, trade, and global governance. To protect transatlantic economic competitiveness, advance democratic rules and norms, and set the standards of the future, the United States and Europe must compete together.
