Andrea N. Goldstein
Andrea N. Goldstein is a writer and security sector reform professional. As co-founder and CEO of her own consulting firm, Tiresias International, Inc., she advises policymakers on integrating gender perspective to increase operational effectiveness in the security sector.
Goldstein served on active duty in the U.S. Navy 2009–2016 as an intelligence officer, deploying in East Asia and the Middle East in expeditionary and special operations missions. She currently serves as a Navy reservist in the Office of the Gender Advisor at NATO Allied Command Transformation.
Goldstein was one of the founding contributors to Task & Purpose. Her work has also been featured in the U.S. Naval Institute’s Proceedings, Fletcher Forum of World Affairs, War Horse, Business Insider, and various professional journals and blogs.
Goldstein holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Chicago. She is a Pat Tillman Scholar and member of the Truman National Security Project Defense Council. She is in her final year at the Fletcher School at Tufts University, where she is studying the experiences of servicewomen and female veterans in completion of her thesis for a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy.
