Research Areas
Anna Avanesyan is the program administrator for the Transatlantic Security Program at the Center for a New American Security (CNAS).
Prior to joining CNAS, Avanesyan worked as a democratic resilience intern at the Center for European Policy Analysis (CEPA) in Washington, D.C. Avanesyan additionally served as a research assistant at the University of Wisconsin Law School and the Kennan Institute of the Woodrow Wilson Center. In these positions, she translated Russian court proceedings and rare Soviet documents from Russian to English for use in academic publications.
Avanesyan has a BA from Haverford College, where she received high honors in the history major and completed minors in Russian and Spanish.
