Austin Calvo
Former Senior Development Associate
Austin Calvo is a former Senior Development Associate at the Center for a New American Security. In coordination with the Senior Vice President of Development, Calvo leads the Center’s corporate relations, manages relationships with corporate donors, coordinates briefings with the Center’s experts, and heads corporate outreach campaigns. Additionally, Calvo manages development events in California as well as the VIP event at the Center’s Annual National Security Conference.
Prior to joining CNAS, Calvo worked at the American Council of Trustees and Alumni, a higher education nonprofit in Washington, D.C. There, he conducted direct mail campaigns, donor prospecting, research, cultivation, and solicitation. Additionally, he coordinated quarterly speaker events for the Council and managed their annual fundraising gala.
Calvo graduated summa cum laude from Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut, with a bachelor’s degree in political science with minors in Spanish and international studies. His studies mainly focused on Latin America and Africa.
