Cameron Edinburgh
Former Senior Communications Officer
Cameron Edinburgh was the Senior Communications Officer at CNAS, where he lead media outreach and congressional relations to advance CNAS’ national security research with media, government, industry, academic, and public audiences.
Edinburgh began his career in the United States Marine Corps, where he served as a communication strategy and operations officer for the 1st Marine Division. In this role, Edinburgh led on-the-record communications and served as an official spokesperson and speechwriter. During this time, Edinburgh deployed to South America as part of a Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force focused on building humanitarian assistance and disaster relief capabilities with partner nations. Prior to joining CNAS, Edinburgh worked on Capitol Hill as a communications fellow and press secretary.
Edinburgh holds a master’s degree in political management from the George Washington University and a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of San Diego.
