Chris Belisle

Managing Director of Corporate Relations

Chris Belisle is the managing director of corporate relations at the Center for a New American Security (CNAS). Working closely with colleagues across the organization and the executive team, he drives strategic engagement with the corporate sector to build ties between the business and policy communities for exploring innovative and smart national security and defense policies to best protect the United States and its allies. With nearly 20 years of experience as a seasoned and frontline development, fundraising, and marketing professional, Belisle brings a deep skill set working at the intersection of corporate engagement and public policy for some of the most respected and well-known globally-focused think tanks and organizations in the United States.

Prior to CNAS, Belisle served in senior development and fundraising roles at the Asia Society, the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, Center for American Progress, and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, among others. A trusted advisor to heads of government and public affairs, corporate executives, and policy experts and scholars, people look to him for how business can partner with policy to elevate impactful thought leadership around developing solutions to relevant and timely national security challenges facing the United States, its allies, and the global community.

Belisle holds a BA in international affairs and public communications from American University in Washington, D.C., where his studies focused on transatlantic relations and NATO. When he is not building bridges between business and policy to advance and support the efforts of CNAS, he enjoys dining out at restaurants, spending time with family and friends, and traveling around the world to explore new communities and cultures. He resides in Washington, D.C. with his husband.
