Christian Chung

Christian Chung is a Ph.D. student at Princeton's School of Public and International Affairs, a Technology and Security Policy Fellow at RAND, and a U.S. Navy Reserve Intelligence Officer. His research focuses on emerging technologies and international security, with particular emphasis on technology competition, strategic stability, and the national security dimensions of AI. Prior to his doctoral studies, Christian spent over a decade in the U.S. Intelligence Community, working across a range of Middle East and technology issues. He was most recently an AI Policy Fellow at the Institute for AI Policy and Strategy, where he explored compute governance and strategies to bolster engagement between industry and government on AI national security issues. He also serves as a visiting fellow at the Center for Strategic and Budgetary Assessments and as an adjunct professor at Georgetown University’s Walsh School of Foreign Service. A native of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Christian holds BSFS and M.A. degrees from Georgetown University and is a graduate of the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, California.
