Christopher Ramos

Christopher Ramos currently serves as Chief of Staff and is part of the leadership team for Cyber, Infrastructure, Risk, and Resilience policy at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Prior to DHS, Chris worked at Vanguard as a Senior Policy Analyst on their Global Public Policy team and as a Relationship Manager for regional bank clients. Before joining Vanguard, Chris graduated with his MBA from Dartmouth’s Tuck School of Business.

Prior to Tuck, he spent seven years in public service, working for the CIA as an Intelligence Officer. His international service included a year-long assignment in Baghdad, Iraq, and a temporary duty assignment in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Chris’s various roles within the Agency focused mainly on the Middle East and North Africa, with specialization in military and security issues affecting both Iraq and Libya.

Chris was born in Brooklyn, NY, and raised in Woodbridge, VA. He is a proud alumnus of Virginia Tech, and a die-hard sports fan of New York teams including the Yankees, Rangers, and (sadly) the Jets. He is a major foodie and loves exploring new spots with his wife, Megan, his sons Gael (Guy-El) and Mateo, and his adorable Bernese Mountain Dog, Yogi.
