Daniel Jackson

Daniel Jackson is a Nonproliferation Policy Specialist at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL). At PNNL, he conducts research and develops novel trainings to strengthen foreign government partners’ ability to prevent and combat the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction across a variety of specializations. He serves as a team lead for the U.S. Department of Energy’s National Nuclear Security Administration Graduate Fellowship Program, a project manager for international nonproliferation and counterproliferation programs, and a trainer for biological security, chemical security, and counter proliferation finance workshops.

Prior to joining PNNL, Mr. Jackson was a Senior Program Advisor for the U.S. Department of State’s Office of Cooperative Threat Reduction. His portfolio included counter-WMD terrorism in the Middle East, Ebola response in West Africa, and biosecurity engagement in Afghanistan. From 2012-2014 he served at the U.S. Embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan.

Mr. Jackson holds bachelor’s degrees in International Affairs and Arabic language from the University of Georgia and a master’s degree in International Relations and Contemporary War from King’s College London. He lives in Washington, DC with his wife and son.
