Dustin Walker is a Professional Staff Member on the Senate Armed Services Committee. Responsible for oversight of U.S. European Command and U.S. Indo-Pacific Command, Mr. Walker’s portfolio covers a wide range of issues including strategic competition with China and Russia, U.S. policy toward North Korea, U.S. alliances in Europe and the Indo-Pacific, among others. More recently, his work has focused on the committee’s oversight of the implementation of the National Defense Strategy. He previously served as the committee’s Communications Director.
Prior to joining the Committee in 2015, Mr. Walker served as the Founding Editor of RealClearDefense, a defense news website. He also served in communications roles for Mitt Romney’s 2012 presidential campaign and for the House Armed Services Committee.
Mr. Walker holds MA in Security Studies and a BSFS in International Politics from Georgetown University, where he studied as a Jack Kent Cooke Foundation College Scholar and Graduate Scholar. He is a native of Boise, Idaho.
