Imani Franklin

Imani Franklin focuses on international and domestic human rights law. She currently represents clients in police misconduct and prisoners' rights cases with the civil rights firm Loevy & Loevy. She previously served as Associate Counsel of the Biden for President campaign. Imani has worked in the human rights field in the Middle East, including the following: providing legal aid to Syrian refugees in Lebanon with the International Refugee Assistance Project (IRAP); advising Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Labor on implementing labor protections for migrant domestic workers; conducting a study on Palestinian youth opportunity in Gaza and the West Bank; and working in youth education in Jordan and Egypt. She has also worked on international gender justice with the Ford Foundation. In 2021, Imani will begin a clerkship in the chambers of Judge Raymond Lohier on the Second Circuit Court of Appeals.

Imani graduated cum laude from Harvard Law School, where she was an editor of the Harvard Law Review. She also holds a Master in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, and she graduated with distinction with a B.A. in International Relations and minor in Arabic from Stanford University.
