Assistant Director of Joint Officer Management
Major Jason A. Camilletti is the Assistant Director of Joint Officer Management for the Undersecretary of Defense for Personnel as part of his Intermediate Developmental Education Strategic Policy Internship in Washington, D.C. Prior to his internship, Major Camilletti was the Director of Operations, 8th Fighter Squadron, one of six F-22 squadrons ready for worldwide deployment. He has a broad background in fighter operations and has served in the beddown of three F-22 fighter squadrons. He has flown over 1,500 hours in the F-22 and F-15C.
Major Camilletti was commissioned in May 1999 as a Distinguished Graduate of the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC). He has served as a fighter squadron chief of scheduling, flight commander and chief of weapons and tactics. He has deployed in support of Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom as the Deputy Chief of the Target Effects Team of the 609th Air Operations Center.
He holds a Masters degree in Public Administration, a Bachelors Degree in Industrial and Management Systems Engineering and is a graduate of the United State Air Force’s Air Command and Staff College and Squadron Officer School.
He lives with his wife, Meredith, and son, Cole, in Washington, D.C.
