Jessie Dietz
Former Intern, Defense Program
Jessie Dietz is a former Joseph S. Nye Jr. National Security Intern for the Defense Program at the Center for a New American Security.
Prior to joining CNAS, Jessie worked as a Legislative Intern with Senator Kamala D. Harris, where she focused on foreign policy as it pertained to homeland security, defense and intelligence. Prior to moving to Washington D.C., she served a year with AmeriCorps in California and worked on the implementation of UNSCR 1325, the women, peace and security agenda.
Jessie is currently pursuing an M.A. in International Economics and Strategic Studies at the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University. She also holds a B.A. in Political Science and a minor in International Security and Conflict Resolution from San Diego State University.
