Jupiter Huang is a Joseph S. Nye, Jr. Intern for the Defense Program at the Center for a New American Security (CNAS).
His work at Georgetown University’s Mortara Center for International Studies focuses on analyzing deterrence gaps as a framework for the hypersonic arms race and co-authoring a project on U.S. nonproliferation policy in East Asia with Dr. Toshihiro Higuchi. Prior to joining CNAS, he worked as a communications intern at the Nuclear Threat Initiative, a nuclear weapons policy intern at the Arms Control Association, and a legislative intern on Capitol Hill.
He’s currently pursuing an accelerated master's in Security Studies at Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service, where he’s also completing his undergraduate studies in Science, Technology, and International Affairs. He holds a minor in Jewish Civilization, through which he conducted thesis research on far-right antisemitism and Holocaust forensics in Eastern Europe.
