Karina Barbesino
Former Intern, Asia-Pacific Security Program
Karina Barbesino is a former Joseph S. Nye, Jr. Intern for the Asia-Pacific Security Program at the Center for a New American Security (CNAS).
Prior to joining CNAS, Karina was a recipient of the Boren Scholarship and Critical Language Scholarship to China where she studied Mandarin Chinese and East Asian studies. She was also a finalist for a Fulbright fellowship to Taiwan. Karina’s research interests include domestic cyber policy, cybersecurity, U.S. foreign policy, and international security.
Karina recently completed a dual B.A. in International Relations and Asian Studies with minors in Mandarin Chinese and Computer Science at Rollins College. She is proficient in German and Mandarin Chinese.
