Director, Shawn Brimley Next Generation National Security Leaders Fellowship
Kate Klein is the chief of staff and the director of the Shawn Brimley Next Generation National Security Leaders Fellowship at the Center for a New American Security (CNAS). Klein manages scheduling for the CEO and her portfolio also includes diversity and inclusion initiatives, the Make Room initiative, the fellowship program, and the internship program.
Prior to CNAS, Klein was the associate director of the Millennium Leadership Program at the Atlantic Council, coordinating all recruitment and logistical components for the Millennium Fellowship. She has also worked for the Washington Internship Institute and the Fund for American Studies, managing academic internship programs for college undergraduates.
Klein is originally from Michigan and received a BA in history and political science from Aquinas College in Grand Rapids.
