Dr. Kate Weber
Interim Global Lead for Emerging Technologies Policy
Kate leads global public policy for emerging technologies research at Google, including AI, quantum computing, and robotics. Her career has focused on the intersection of scientific research and policy; prior to Google, she led a team at the US Department of State covering bilateral and multilateral engagement on chemicals management, air quality, and waste management, where she was also an American Association for the Advancement of Science S&T policy fellow. She holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from the University of Cambridge where she was a Marshall Scholar, and a B.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Richmond.
