Kateryna Volkovska leads defense autonomy development at the Department of Defense Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office (CDAO). Prior to her role in DoD, Katya spent time in the defense technology industry managing artificial intelligence and autonomy software development efforts at Microsoft and ECS Federal. Her portfolio included the initiation and execution of major defense programs such as Project Maven and Smart Sensor, which focused on the rapid delivery of artificial intelligence/machine learning and autonomous capabilities to the warfighter. Katya emigrated from Odesa, Ukraine, in 2007, and is a graduate of George Mason University undergraduate and graduate programs.
