Liz Hanpeter

Liz Hanpeter leads the Public Affairs and Corporate Social Responsibility teams at Emergent, a global life sciences company working to address public heath threats. She has more than a decade of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, leading work in global and US health policy and advocacy, as well as global marketing, at Takeda and AbbVie.

Prior to working in the biopharmaceutical industry, Liz worked on public health, energy, agriculture, financial services and consumer goods issues for a consulting firm working toward economic growth in sub-Saharan Africa. Liz also spent several years working for the US Department of Defense, managing a US Security Assistance program at the National Defense University.

Liz received a BA in History and German from the University of Notre Dame, and a Master of Arts in International Affairs, with a concentration in Economics, from the George Washington University’s Elliott School of International Affairs.
