Research Areas

Maeve Drury is a Joseph S. Nye, Jr. intern for the Transatlantic Security Program at the Center for New American Security (CNAS).

She holds a BA and an MA in international relations from the University of San Diego, with a minor in French and francophone studies. Her undergraduate and graduate work has primarily focused on European and Arctic security, as well as Chinese foreign policy and its security implications. Her graduate thesis, which focused on China’s Arctic policy, tied this work together. Through her graduate program, Drury was able to attend the 69th Annual NATO Parliamentary Assembly in Copenhagen, Denmark, to investigate pressing regional issues for NATO member states.

Prior to CNAS, Drury worked under a contract with NASA, providing project support for engineers working on revolutionary scientific instruments.
