Major Alicia Dorsett

Major Alicia Dorsett is a National Guard Field Artillery Officer serving in the United States Army. She is currently assigned to the Pentagon as a Legislative Liaison for the Office of the Chief Legislative Liaison (OCLL) where she manages the Air and Missile Defense portfolio. OCLL is the largest legislative affairs organization in the Department of Defense responsible for integrating the Army’s congressional efforts and supporting Army communications with Congress. Prior to her current role, she was part of the Army Congressional Fellowship Program, serving as the Defense Fellow for Rep. Elise Stefanik (NY-21).

Alicia broke new ground as Wisconsin's first female Field Artillery officer, serving in various roles within the 1-121 Field Artillery Regiment (FAR). She deployed to the Middle East in support of Operations Spartan Shield and Inherent Resolve and later led Alpha Battery, 1-121 FAR, as its commander. Alongside her military career as a traditional Guardsmen, Alicia held several civilian roles including serving for Wisconsin State Representative Cindi Duchow (99th District). A passionate leader and advocate, she completed four terms as Army Vice-President of the Wisconsin National Guard Association where she worked on state and federal initiatives to support National Guard servicemembers and their families.

Originally from Poy Sippi, Wisconsin, Alicia currently resides in Springfield, Virginia. She holds a BA in Political Science and Communications from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and master’s degrees in Public Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and Legislative Affairs from George Washington University. In her free time, she enjoys gravel biking, traveling, and spending quality time with friends and family.
