Michael Akopian
Former Research Assistant, Defense Program
Michael Akopian is a former Research Assistant for the Defense Program at CNAS where he also supports the CNAS Gaming Lab. His research focuses on air power doctrine and Russia. Before CNAS, Akopian pursued his master’s degree at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, where he wrote his thesis on Soviet air power doctrine.
Before SAIS, Akopian was a research assistant at the EastWest Institute in New York and a research intern at the Central Bank of Armenia.
