Molly Parrish
Former Research Assistant, Defense Program
Molly Parrish is a former Research Assistant for the Defense Program at the Center for a New American Security (CNAS).
Ms. Parrish’s research focused primarily on Department of Defense (DoD) internal processes. This included the annual President’s Budget, DoD acquisition reform, and the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process. Ms. Parrish also assisted with the CNAS Defense program's “A New American Way of War” wargaming efforts.
Prior to joining CNAS, Ms. Parrish served as the Center Coordinator for the Center for Emerging Infectious Diseases (CEID) at the University of Iowa. She also served as a lab technician at the CEID, assisting with epidemiological research which earned her authorship on four articles published in several renowned peer-reviewed scientific journals.
Ms. Parrish graduated from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, International Relations, and Global Health.
