Research Assistant, AI Safety and Stability Project

Research Areas

Noah Greene is a research assistant for the Artificial Intelligence Safety and Stability Project at the Center for a New American Security (CNAS). In this role, Greene works with four programs, along with the executive vice president and director of studies, to coordinate research activities across multiple lines of effort. His research agenda includes investigating the military applications of AI in the United States, Europe, Russia, and China, along with European decision-making on AI more broadly.

Prior to joining CNAS, Greene worked as a teaching assistant in the master of arts in public policy & administration program at Northwestern University. He assisted with course instruction, facilitated day-to-day administrative tasks, and supplemented the professor’s role in reviewing student assignments.

Greene's work has been published in Lawfare, Tech Policy Press, Encompass Europe, and other media outlets. Greene earned a master of arts in public policy & administration from Northwestern University specializing in global policy. His research focused on foreign policy decision-making, international negotiations, European affairs, and international institutions. Greene received his bachelor of arts in political science from the University of Alabama and currently serves as a fellow for the Blackburn Institute at the university. He also serves as a junior associate fellow for the NATO Defense College.
