Prior to joining Mastercard, Mr. Rajan worked as a public affairs strategist at APCO Worldwide and as a management consultant for KPMG, specializing in global public affairs, strategic and corporate communications, political risk analysis, market entry strategy, government relations, and people, resource, and project management.
Mr. Rajan previously served as a Foreign Service Officer in the U.S. Department of State, with nearly a decade of experience working overseas and in Washington. His diplomatic service covered Pakistan, India, and China. Mr. Rajan also staffed Secretaries of State Hillary Clinton and John Kerry in the Executive Secretariat.
Mr. Rajan holds a Masters in Business Administration from George Washington University and a Bachelors of Arts in Economics and Politics from New York University.
