Sophie Pearl

Development Associate

Sophie Pearl is the development associate at the Center for a New American Security (CNAS). Her primary role is to assist the development team with administrative and operational support, focusing on aspects of fundraising, event coordination and planning, and database entry.

Prior to joining CNAS, Pearl worked as a development associate at the Jewish Federation of Greater Washington, where her role focused on donor relations, prospect research, and year-round fundraising as a member of the financial resource department. Her prior experience also includes an internship at the Middle East Media Research Institute, where she worked on gathering research and content to bolster its domestic terrorism threat monitor.

Pearl earned her MSc in global crime, justice, and security from the University of Edinburgh School of Law, as well a BA in international affairs focused on peace, global security, and conflict resolution from American University.
