Sydney Scarlata
Intern, Middle East Security Program
Sydney Scarlata is a former Joseph S. Nye, Jr. Intern for the Middle East Security Program at the Center for a New American Security (CNAS).
Before joining CNAS, Scarlata interned at the Council on Foreign Relations with the Middle East Studies Program. She also spent two years in Morocco with the United States Peace Corps working with local communities on youth development and women’s empowerment programing.
Scarlata is currently pursuing an M.A. in International Affairs at Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies. She earned her B.A. in Political Science from Reed College.
