
Thomas Corel is an intern for the Indo-Pacific Security Program at the Center for a New American Security (CNAS).
Prior to joining CNAS, Corel worked as the Australia Chair intern at the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington, D.C. Corel is also a contributor at the Royal United Services Institute in London and previously served as a research intern at the University of Virginia’s National Security Policy Center. In these positions, he conducted security-oriented policy research, writing, and data collection, as well as event planning and staffing.
Corel has a BA from Wagner College, where he graduated magna cum laude, and an MPP from the University of Virginia, where he focused on AUKUS, the trilateral relationship, and defense and national security more broadly.
