Colonel Trey Meeks (U.S. Air Force Retired) is an Adjunct Senior Fellow with the Defense Program at the Center for a New American Security and a Principal at The Asia Group, a premier strategic advisory firm delivering client solutions in the Indo-Asia-Pacific. Trey has a proven track record enabling companies to capture billions in successful campaigns, mediate delicate international settlements, upgrade regional brand profiles and achieve business expansion objectives in numerous Asian markets.
Trey’s active-duty service culminated as the Chief of the Office of Defense Cooperation at the U.S. Embassy in Singapore and was instrumental in expanding Singapore’s F-15SG capabilities, upgrading their F-16s, and securing U.S. government approval for the F-35. Previously, as the Deputy Director for Plans, Programs and Policy at Special Operations Command-Pacific, Trey provided inter-agency and programmatic support for Operation Enduring Freedom-Philippines and served in key leadership roles in national-level exercises in Korea, Thailand, and Cambodia. Trey had two operational flying commands and served as Chief of Special Ops/Combat Search and Rescue as well as Advanced Trainers at Air Education and Training Command. Trey was also the lead technical expert for two Source Selection Teams on $3.2B in services contract awards.
Trey graduated from the U. S. Air Force Academy (B.S.), Auburn University (M.B.A), and the National Defense Intelligence College’s Post Graduate Intelligence Program. Trey also completed programs at the Joint Warfighting College, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and the Rajaratnam School of International Studies in Singapore.
