Afghanistan collapse into Taliban rule devastates Wisconsin veterans, human rights advocates

More than 2,300 Americans lost their lives and another 20,000 were wounded in the 20-year, $2 trillion war in Afghanistan.
And in just days, the country was taken over by the Taliban as U.S. troops began pulling out.
For Wisconsin veterans and others who worked and served in the country, the stunningly swift collapse is heartbreaking, a failure that reaches the highest levels of government and is no less devastating for being inevitable.
