Mark Rosen, general counsel at CNA, and Harry Krejsa, a research associate at the Center for a New American Security, discuss China’s Tuesday loss in the Permanent Court of Arbitration, which decided that China has no legal basis to claim historic rights to a majority of the South China Sea. The decision, which will have lasting economic and political implications for countries across Asia, has already been rejected by Chinese President Xi Jinping, while Vietnam and other countries with claims in the South China Sea have already celebrated the verdict. They speak with Bloomberg Law host June Grasso on Bloomberg Radio’s "Bloomberg Law."
