Michèle Flournoy and Richard Fontaine Named to Defense Policy Board

The Department of Defense named Michèle Flournoy, Chair of the CNAS Board of Directors, and Richard Fontaine, CNAS CEO, to the Defense Policy Board, chaired by Madeleine K. Albright. Through the Under Secretary of Defense for Policy, the policy board provides the Secretary of Defense and Deputy Secretary of Defense with independent, informed advice and opinions concerning matters of defense policy in response to specific tasks from the Secretary of Defense, the Deputy Secretary, and the Under Secretary of Defense for Policy.
