CNAS Announces New Leaders and Members of AI Task Force

Washington, August 19, 2021—The Center for a New American Security (CNAS) is pleased to announce new leaders and members of the Task Force on Artificial Intelligence and National Security. The AI Task Force, composed of former senior government officials, private industry leaders, and academic experts, examines how the United States should respond to the national security challenges artificial intelligence poses.

Hon. Sarah Sewall, Executive Vice President for Policy at IQT, joins Hon. Robert O. Work as co-chair of the AI Task Force.

Martijn Rasser, Senior Fellow and Director of the Technology and National Security Program at CNAS, is named executive director of the task force.

New members include AI researchers, former senior-level officials, and leading industry experts. They are:
