CNAS Make Room Mentorship Program Is Now Accepting Applications for the Fall 2025 Cohort

The Center for a New American Security (CNAS) is now accepting applications for the fall 2025 cohort of the Make Room Mentorship Program.

This program seeks young professionals, students, and recent graduates with less than five years of relevant work experience (excluding military service) who are interested in learning about and working in the national security and foreign policy space. We are seeking individuals from across the country to participate in our fall 2025 cohort.

Applicants selected to join the Make Room Mentorship Program will be paired with an experienced national security professional who best meets their specific mentorship needs. Programming will run from July through December 2025, with virtual and in-person events throughout. This is a unique opportunity for young professionals within and outside of Washington, D.C., to receive guidance from individuals with experience in government, think tanks, the private sector, and other relevant industries.

Applications are due on Sunday, May 4 by 11:59 p.m. ET.
