My friend Owen West sent me this great video showing some good combat footage from his father that helps to explain how difficult it is to close with and engage the enemy in Afghanistan. I have had my differences with some of what Bing West has written of late, but this video and this accompanying trip report is Bing West at his very best. He asks some good, tough questions.
