National Museum of the Marine Corps
Charlie took her long-legged sister to the National Museum of the Marine Corps this weekend. It is fantastic. An excellent blend of hardware displays, interactive features, and Marine history. Sort of like if the Imperial War Museum got updated for the 21st century (you should have seen Charlie's sister flinch when she entered the mock drill instructor chamber). Highlights include "Making Marines" and WWII.
Now some might say that it's pure propaganda, and Charlie is inclined to agree. But what good propaganda it is.
When you have a chance, make a day of it. It's well worth your time.
