India, the United States and the Global Commons
In this U.S.-India Initiative Series working paper, author C. Raja Mohan calls for deeper cooperation between India and the United States in protecting the air, sea, space, and cyberspace commons and provides specific recommendations for ways to deepen the relationship in these shared spaces.
This paper is one of a series commissioned in conjunction with a major Center for a New American Security study on the future of the U.S.-India relationship. The study, co-chaired by former Deputy Secretary of State Richard L. Armitage and former Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs R. Nicholas Burns, and directed by CNAS Senior Fellow Richard Fontaine, has produced a comprehensive blueprint for the next phase of the U.S.-India strategic relationship, Natural Allies: A Blueprint for the Future of U.S.-India Relations.
