Removing the Barriers: Prospects for Sanctions Relief Under a Final Nuclear Deal with Iran
Author, Senior Fellow and Director of the Energy, Environment and Security Program, Elizabeth Rosenberg provides recommendations for U.S. lawmakers on how to navigate the complicated web of sanctions on Iran and deliver credible relief in exchange for Iranian nuclear concessions under a final agreement. International negotiators and Iran will face a variety of challenges to ensure that relief on paper is delivered in practice. As Ms. Rosenberg explains, these range from extreme caution in the private sector about violating multilateral sanctions on Iran, to Iran’s challenging business environment.
