Doing More Without More: Obtaining Efficiency and Productivity in Defense Spending
On February 22, a week after the defense budget was submitted to Congress, Dr. Ashton B. Carter delivered a keynote address on the Pentagon’s Defense Efficiency Initiative, which was launched to reduce the Department of Defense's overhead expenditures and improve efficiency.
